Rebecca + Jacob | A joyful & rainy wedding day at the Vista Grande in Clinton, Iowa

To sum up this wedding in one word, I would definitely use “joyful!” There were so many smiling faces and all around happiness as Becky and Jake spoke their vows. The wedding party was so amazing to work with, funny, kind and definitely the life of the party! It’s easy to see why they were chosen to stand up with the bride and groom during their wedding ceremony. Also, a huge shoutout to grandma Barb for helping so much with the little ring bearer so mommy and daddy could focus on their big day while still soaking in the spontaneous hugs from Joey as he made his rounds. All of the guests had a great time and I was so impressed with the venue! I haven’t been to the Vista Grande in a few years and it seems they've made updates to the building. It was perfect for their reception!

Some of the other vendors that deserve major props are Melissa Johnston for the beautiful hair and makeup, David’s Bridal and Men’s Wearhouse for the perfectly coordinated wedding attire, Corner Deli Catering from Clinton, Iowa for the delicious meal and Sweetheart Bakery (also Clinton) for the tasty wedding cake!

From where I was standing, everything came together wonderfully, despite the rain! It didn’t get in the way of the joy of the day even a little bit. We still did outdoor portraits and umbrellas are adorable in photos anyway! I hope Mr and Mrs Rogge agree (I’m sure they do) and had the most amazing wedding day!

Ellen and Scott Said I Do

I can't say enough good things about Ellen and Scott's wedding! It was intimate, elegant, genuine, beautiful, and I mean, they are one stunning couple.  Ellen has a lot of experience modeling and is a talented hair stylist who loves making her clients look and feel beautiful. Scott is so kind and creative, an old soul with a big heart. It was his job that moved them from Iowa to Texas, a time when they were at a crossroads and chose to continue on their journey together. A part of their ceremony was giving the guests insight into their relationship, how it started, when they fell in love, to the present day when they exchanged vows and rings, becoming husband and wife. I must say, it was one of my very favorite ceremonies I've attended. Everyone sat there falling in love with their love story, even more excited to be a part of their momentous day.

I may have gone a little overboard on choosing photos for their blog...but I literally could not narrow them down any more!

Abra and Jeremiah finally tied the knot!

I wouldn't normally say a couple "finally" got married, but when even their cake topper literally said "Finally" I think it's safe to say everyone was thrilled and ready for these lovebirds to say "I do!" Wedding planning is never an easy task and I know they had some hiccups along the way (including a double booking at their venue!), but everything managed to pull together in the end and the day was flawless and beautiful. So much happiness and love was felt by all as friends and family gathered to celebrate these two coming together, uniting a new family of 6! Huge congratulations to Abra, Miah, and their kids. So glad to have been a part of their special day!
