Alisha and Joseph are Getting Married!

The question has been popped, proposal accepted and wedding plans in the works! Their wedding colors are a beautiful muted green and gorgeous metallic copper with Irish and Eastern European elements throughout the decor. I can’t wait to see all of their hard work and planning come together in September!

We were just so happy this engagement session was able to happen between thunderstorms. That’s Spring in the midwest though, right?!

An engagement session is actually such an important part of your wedding photography! Especially for those of us with no modeling experience, so….almost everyone! It gives us a chance to get to know each other better, for me to understand your relationship dynamics and for you to get a feel for how I direct and pose you. It truly helps make the rush of your wedding day portraits go SO. MUCH. SMOOTHER.

Plus…more cute pictures together are never a bad thing! :)

Ellen and Scott Said I Do

I can't say enough good things about Ellen and Scott's wedding! It was intimate, elegant, genuine, beautiful, and I mean, they are one stunning couple.  Ellen has a lot of experience modeling and is a talented hair stylist who loves making her clients look and feel beautiful. Scott is so kind and creative, an old soul with a big heart. It was his job that moved them from Iowa to Texas, a time when they were at a crossroads and chose to continue on their journey together. A part of their ceremony was giving the guests insight into their relationship, how it started, when they fell in love, to the present day when they exchanged vows and rings, becoming husband and wife. I must say, it was one of my very favorite ceremonies I've attended. Everyone sat there falling in love with their love story, even more excited to be a part of their momentous day.

I may have gone a little overboard on choosing photos for their blog...but I literally could not narrow them down any more!

Future Mr and Mrs. Reed

So usually when I meet with potential wedding clients, they don't have many details to share yet since it's still in the planning phase. Kassidy is a self-proclaimed beast and had everything already planned, booked, and ready to go for her May 2018 wedding! What was left to do? Engagement portraits! Of all the beautiful days we had, of course we picked the cold and windy one. But their wedding is nautical themed and it actually worked out really well.

I'm looking forward to celebrating with these two on their big day next May!
