Kaitlin + Ashton | A cozy Fall engagement session at Vander Veer Botanical Park in Davenport, Iowa

I was really excited to finally meet Kaitlin and Ashton! Usually I get to meet my wedding couples at a consultation before they book with me, but due to their very busy schedules (paramedic and nursing school student!) we stuck to email. I could tell even without meeting in person that she was a sweetheart and that they would be such a wonderful couple to work with. Nailed it! All it takes is being in love and looking forward to the marriage (not just the wedding!) for me to know it’s a perfect match. These two are exactly that!

Kaitlin told me about the very romantic proposal in Chicago, involving a suite and rose petals. Nice job, Ashton! He totally swept her off her feet from the very first “hello.” I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next Summer! But until then, here’s a sneak peek from their cozy Fall engagement session at Vander Veer Park in Davenport!

Aubriana + Colin | A sweet & stylish engagement session in downtown Davenport, Iowa

Oh my gosh! I hope Aubriana and Colin had as much fun as I did at their engagement session! One after another adorable shots… I was one happy photographer on Sunday! These two are so perfect for each other, absolute sweethearts, and just beautifully in love. I had so many ideas for portraits and we literally had to stop because we ran out of daylight. So now I’m even more excited for their May 2020 wedding! Here’s a little peek at Aubri and Colin’s stylish downtown Davenport engagement shoot while I finish up the rest of the gallery!

Catherine + Mike {Wedding} Sneak Peek

February 16th was a beautiful day. Both for Catherine and Mike on their wedding day, and Catherine’s grandparents who were married on February 16th many years ago. Though they have passed away, their spirit remained a huge part of the lovely wedding of their granddaughter. It was such a precious way to honor them. Not only was the date the same, but they had their cake replicated as well!

So many of the personal touches were thoughtful and sentimental. The flowers were put together by the mother and uncle of the bride and they were some of the most gorgeous arrangements I’ve seen! Catherine’s something blue was an heirloom from her great grandmother that sparkled brightly on her finger. This bride and groom made their day special not only for themselves, but for everyone involved. It spoke volumes to their kind, loving and compassionate characters.

It was very obvious how deeply they cared for their family and friends, and it was definitely reciprocated. The toasts given by their friends and family members were heartfelt and sincere. They could not say enough wonderful things about the newlyweds. It was truly an honor for me to be there to document the start of Mr & Mrs Steigerwald’s next chapter.

Thank you to the fabulous creative team that made this beautiful wedding possible!

Special shoutout to the very talented mother and uncle of the bride who put together all of the gorgeous flowers. I was seriously blown away by how wonderful of a job they did!
