Torrie and Carson tied the knot and danced the night away

What a great love story Torrie and Carson will have to tell future generations. Boy meets girl. They fall in love. Boy is a military man. Girl is attending college. They beat the odds and make long distance work. There’s a proposal. Wedding planning happens while being thousands of miles apart. But then they come together surrounded by the most important people in their lives and they commit to marriage, a lifetime together. The great thing is that if they can beat the challenges that come with a very long distance relationship, they can handle anything life throws at them.

You know just by the way Carson looks at Torrie that he would do anything for her. And Torrie is such a strong and beautiful woman who is head over heals in love with her man. I loved this wedding day! Because it was a true, giddy, butterflies in the stomach, pure kind of love. This day was about more than just the wedding itself, but about the whole marriage going forward. And those are the best kinds of wedding days. I couldn’t be more happy for Mr and Mrs Williams!

The Coverdell Family Highlights, Throwback Thursday Edition

This family was so happy to welcome a new baby boy to the fun! I’m sure he’ll be spoiled by those two big sisters, and mom and dad are pretty fond of him as well. We did a quick mini session to capture some moments of them together at the Bickelhaupt Arboretum in Clinton, Iowa. I always recommend this location to anyone who wants a pretty, natural setting for their images. It never disappoints!

Thomas Wedding {Sneak Peek}

Monica and Dave first got in touch with me earlier this year for engagement photos. I asked a bit about their wedding plans and as she explained it, I was a little envious of whoever was their wedding photographer. Well, as luck would have it, they wound up asking me to also shoot the wedding! And it did not disappoint! It wasn’t super traditional and encompassed both Monica’s personality and Dave’s. There was glitz and glam, rockabilly hair, and a retro flair. And there were bikes, leather vests, beer and buds. It was truly a beautiful compromise that made one heck of an awesome wedding day and most importantly, the perfect beginning to their marriage. These two were made for each other and that was very obvious to everyone in attendance last Saturday.

This was fun sneak peek to put together; I hope you enjoy it!
