I was so looking forward to this family session! It was awhile ago that Alesha first contacted me about doing family photos, and we finally made it happen by the river on the most beautiful September evening! Brantley is 3 (but almost 4!) and he is such a character! We’ve actually had a playdate in the past with my kiddos and he’s just the sweetest boy, so smart and funny and totally willing to pee outside if the urge strikes (true story lol). I’m so happy with how their photos are turning out and I hope they love them as much as I do.
Who would’ve thought we’d already have Fall weather in August?! It was seriously the most perfect morning for a family session at the Arboretum. I absolutely loved meeting this adorable family and especially 10 month old Lincoln! I may be a little bias, but I think her name is awesome! And I never would’ve thought of Lincoln for a girl, I just love it! If you’re wondering why I’m bias, it’s because my son is named Lincoln too. :)
Anyway, I know mom and dad were a little worried she wasn’t as smiley as usual…but LOOK at how many smiles we got! And not just that, but the sweetest moments between all three of them. This was a great session, I got soooo many wonderful shots and really enjoyed my time with them. I hope they had a good time too! Now…who’s ready for a sneak peek?!
These adorable little sisters have grown so much since I last saw them at the beginning of 2018! Navah was about the size her little sister is now and Myka was just a baby. Now here they are, so beautiful and grown up. I was so excited to hear they were visiting again all the way from the United Arab Emirates and wanting another photo shoot with me! We met up at the Bickelhaupt Arboretum in Clinton, Iowa, where the greens are vibrant and the flowers are blooming. You’re never at a loss for great spots at this location, it’s one of my favorite places to shoot!
I know mom and grandma were a little worried we didn’t get many usable pictures because the girls were over the whole idea of photos after about ten minutes. But it’s those little moments in-between that make the session a success. This age is always tough for parents (I know from experience)! But when they do smile and laugh, it’s so genuine and wonderful. I promised we got plenty of good shots and I really honestly LOVE the pictures we got from this session! The first ten minutes with these girls was GOLD - seriously some of the best sibling pictures; they’re just too cute!
