Becky + Jake | An engagement session (plus one!) at the Arboretum in Clinton, Iowa

I had one Saturday left in October and Becky and Jake snagged it for their wedding at the Vista Grande! Now that we’ve had a chance to work together for engagement pictures, I’m even more excited to capture their big day! They really were naturals in front of the camera…I wouldn’t even get all the way through a direction and they were in the pose and ready to go. It was pretty impressive to be honest! They also brought along their adorable two year old son Joey. He tried to avoid me but I took every chance he gave me to get some cute smiles…see below for said cute smiles!

I loved this session so much and can’t wait to watch this beautiful family tie the knot and make it official this Fall! <3

Torrie + Carson... One More Month to Go

Torrie and Carson contacted me several months ago about their wedding on March 23, 2019. I was thrilled to tell them that I had the date open! Carson is in the military and was away at the time so it was a few months later, right around Christmas, that we finally got to meet in person. That’s also when we did their engagement session. You guys, they made my job SO easy! These two are absolutely adorable, incredibly photogenic, and genuinely crazy about each other.

The long distance thing has to be hard for them, but you would never know it because of their optimism and positive outlook on life and what the future has to hold. I have no doubt they will make each other very happy for many years to come.

And the new chapter begins ONE month from TODAY!

Catherine & Mike are Getting Married!

I am getting so excited! Catherine and Mike will be tying the knot in just a little over two weeks! These two were absolutely amazing during their engagement session last Fall. I barely had to give them any direction and they nailed their poses every. single. time. I can’t even believe how many amazing shots we got in the fifteen minutes we were together. That’s right, 15 MINUTES! It was a cold day (nothing like today though, thank goodness), and instead of rescheduling, they decided to just grin and bear it. You can’t even tell they were actually freezing. Now here’s to hoping it warms up just a little bit for their February Winter wedding!
