Jayden + Julio | Easygoing Engagement Photos at Rockwood

Jayden + Julio met in college, both graduated this May, and are now heading into wedding planning while also starting the next chapter of their lives and careers. We met up at Rockwood State Park on a Sunday morning for their engagement session and honestly could not have asked for a better day.

These two were so easy to photograph together. They came in wanting direction, which is super normal, but pretty quickly I realized the best approach was giving them a starting point and then letting them do their thing. Every time I stepped back a little, they naturally fell into the cutest interactions and reactions with each other. The photos ended up feeling really natural because of that.

We wandered around the lake, chased good light, and at one point I accidentally asked them to slow dance on the most uneven patch of soft dirt imaginable. Truly terrible footing. 10/10 would not recommend. But somehow they still made it look cute.

Together they just have this really fun energy that made the whole session feel easy from start to finish. I already know their wedding day is going to be a good one.
