Ethan + Makena | A brother & sister senior portrait session in Clinton, Iowa

I’m obsessed with this session! Ethan and Makena were definitely naturals in front of the camera and I loved being their senior photographer! We even took a minute to recreate a photo from their childhood which was really cute. Can you guess which one it is?! Oh, and to top it off, they brought their pets along for a few shots as well. I can’t wait to finish these up and show mom the full gallery. But for now…here’s a sneak peek!

Collin + Brady | A twin brothers' senior session at Van Der Veer park in Davenport, Iowa

Collin and Brady started their senior year at Bettendorf High School the day before their senior pictures were taken. They’re both pretty excited about finishing high school and starting a new chapter! Collin plans to continue singing (he has an amazing voice!) in college while he works on his major. In fact, he’s getting an early start at it because of plans to graduate early next January. If only I had been that ambitious! Brady also has big plans to head off to college after graduating with his friends next Spring. I look forward to seeing what they choose to do in this life. I may be a little bias, but I think they are both very talented, funny, smart and I mean, just look at how handsome they are! I have no doubt they will both do great things!

Have a fantastic senior year Collin and Brady and the rest of the Class of 2020!

Goodbyes are never easy

Over the years as a photographer I have been able to try out all sorts of genres - weddings, families, newborns, maternity, events, kids, couples, fashion, glamour, seniors… and the list goes on. Certain genres just fuel your artistic flame more than others and the time comes to cut ties with jobs that aren’t your niche.

For me, I absolutely love photographing relationships - whether it be weddings, engagements, or families. I love capturing those little moments of authentic human connection. And while seniors are an absolute blast and some of the favorite photos I’ve taken have been of seniors, the style just doesn’t match up with my specialty - relationships. (Unless, of course, you bring your bestie!)

With a bit of a heavy heart, I’m breaking the news that I will only be photographing a very limited number of senior sessions. The exception is if you’re a family client or I’ve done senior photos for an older sibling...then no worries, I got you! But due to my busy shooting schedule, I’m only keeping a few spots available for senior sessions. So if you’d like to get in with me this Summer or Fall, please head over to the CONTACT page and send me a message!

These photos were from some Class of 2019 seniors who will be graduating very soon! They were taken last Fall! Special congratulations to Molly, Jacob and Jackson!
