Kyrsten + Isaak Moravec | October Wedding at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln
Eight years, two adorable little ones, and a wedding day that was a long time coming! 🤍
Kyrsten and Isaak Moravec were married on October 10, 2026, at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln, surrounded by their family and friends.
These two actually met through Kyrsten's brother, Keith, who also served as Isaak's best man. Eight years later, they've built a family together with their three-year-old twins, Brynlee and Bryer, and they're expecting another little girl in March!
And if you remember their engagement session, you might remember their matching Green Bay Packers jerseys. Both were Jordan Love's number 10, which was especially fitting for their 10/10 wedding date. The Packers made another appearance on the wedding day, too, with some football-themed groomsmen socks. Although I believe there was a Cowboys fan in the mix. 😂
Getting Ready
One thing I noticed right away was just how much family was involved in this wedding.
Kyrsten's sister-in-law, Adrian, was her matron of honor, and she was on top of EVERYTHING throughout the day. Seriously, everyone needs an Adrian in their wedding party!
Kyrsten wore a beautiful gown from Hope's Bridal, with her blonde hair styled in loose waves and a veil that somehow survived the entire wedding day (despite being pulled a dozen times by toddlers).
Kyrsten and Isaak decided to wait until the ceremony to see each other, but she did have a first look planned with her dad, Marc.
And this one was special.
Before he turned around, Kyrsten's mom, Katrina, handed him a photo of Kyrsten as a little girl. Kyrsten then read him a letter about how much he meant to her and how important her Ford family name would always be, even as she became a Moravec.
There were definitely some tears. 🤍
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place at YMCA Camp Abe Lincoln, with Isaak's family member Sara, officiating.
Their twins had their own important jobs for the day. Brynlee was one of the flower girls, alongside her little cousin, and Bryer was the ring bearer.
I always love when couples include their children in their wedding day. It's not just two people getting married. It's a celebration of the family they've already built together.
And speaking of making a ceremony your own, I don't think I'll forget hearing the nicknames "Smokeshow" and "Pookie" during the ceremony anytime soon. 😂
Kyrsten and Isaak also signed their marriage license right there during the ceremony, which I thought was a fun touch!
Another meaningful detail was the memorial table honoring loved ones who couldn't be there, including Kyrsten's grandfather, Nelson Moore.
As it turns out, Nelson had worked as a school bus driver in Clinton alongside my mom, Terry, who was helping me photograph the wedding. She recognized him in the photo and was able to share a few memories of him with Kyrsten and her mom.
It's such a small world sometimes, and I thought that was a really special connection.
The Reception
After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate!
The reception included all the familiar wedding traditions, from the first dance and parent dances to dinner, toasts, and cake.
They also did a table dash, which is always a fun way to get photos with everyone attending. And instead of the traditional bouquet and garter toss, they opted for a T-shirt toss!
One of the things I tried at this wedding was bringing along a Polaroid camera to create a few instant keepsakes. Those little photos were a hit, and I'm thinking they might need to make more appearances at future weddings!
And of course, there was plenty of dancing, including some time on the dance floor for the little ones.
Congratulations, Kyrsten + Isaak!
I think what stands out most to me about this wedding is how much it centered around family.
From the people standing beside Kyrsten and Isaak to their twins being part of the ceremony, the emotional moments with their parents, and the memories of loved ones who were missed, family was woven into just about every part of the day.
After eight years together, October 10th wasn't just the beginning of their marriage. It was a celebration of everything they've already built and everything still ahead of them.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Moravec! Thank you for letting me be part of your day, and I can't wait to see your family grow again next spring! 🤍
