Maggie | Sunflower Senior Session at Pride of the Wapsi
Maggie knew exactly what she wanted for her senior pictures: sunflowers. 🌻
She's always loved them, so when it came time to plan her session, the sunflower field at Pride of the Wapsi was an easy choice. And honestly, I love when seniors come into their session with a vision. Senior photos should feel like YOU, so if that means we're heading into a field full of your favorite flower, that's exactly what we're going to do.
Getting there was slightly less picture-perfect. 😂
It had been raining like crazy, and the field was MUDDY. But we decided to go for it anyway, and somehow the sun decided to come out just in time for Maggie. Between the flowers, that little bit of sunshine, and her black dress and boots, I'd say dealing with the mud paid off.
Maggie's mom, KC, came along for the session too and was so much fun to have with us. She was also extremely helpful, which is always appreciated when we're navigating outfits, belongings, and a muddy sunflower field!
I also learned that Maggie is the youngest of five siblings, all born within about six years of each other. That's a LOT of kids growing up all at once, and now somehow the youngest is already a senior at Assumption High School.
As a mom, that part gets me a little. Senior pictures are obviously about celebrating the person who's graduating, but they're also one of those milestones that makes parents very aware of just how quickly the years went.
For Maggie, though, I love that these photos also capture something she's loved for years. Someday she'll be able to look back at her senior pictures and remember exactly who she was at this age.
Maggie, I'm so glad we were able to make your sunflower vision happen. I hope you love these photos for a very long time, and I hope you have an amazing senior year! 🌻🤍
