Brittnay + Nick | Davenport Engagement Session at Vander Veer Park

I loved getting to spend the evening with Brittnay and Nick for their engagement session at Vander Veer Park in Davenport, Iowa! They brought their two pups along for the first part of the shoot, and it was such a fun, relaxed way to kick things off. The park was glowing with early evening light, and we couldn’t have asked for a better night.

After a few photos exploring the park, they set up a sweet little picnic. Just the two of them, taking a breather and soaking it all in. Watching couples carve out those small, quiet moments in the middle of wedding planning is one of my favorite parts of engagement sessions.

We wrapped up the night outside a nearby church, where they popped champagne to celebrate their upcoming spring wedding. It felt like the perfect ending. Joyful, a little bubbly (literally), and full of laughter.

Brittnay is outgoing, fun, and the kind of person who brings instant good energy to a shoot. Nick’s easygoing nature balanced with her perfectly, and together they made my job easy! You can tell how much they care. Not just about each other, but about everyone around them. (She’s a nurse and he’s a deputy, so it makes sense.) And the way they look at each other says it all. I can already tell their wedding day is going to be an absolute blast.

Here’s just a little sneak peek from their Davenport engagement session… more to come soon!
