My Step-by-Step Wedding Process
Your wedding day will fly by… which is why you need a photographer who’s not only ready to capture every moment, but who also has a clear, organized plan from the first email to the final delivery of your images.
Here’s a peek into my wedding photography process so you’ll know exactly what to expect along the way.
Step 1: Getting Started
You reach out about your wedding date.
I send over my Wedding Photography Guide so you can learn about my style, packages, and approach.
If you’d like, we schedule a Consultation to meet, talk through your vision, and see if we’re the right fit.
Step 2: Booking Your Day
After our chat, I send a short Proposal Questionnaire.
I create your custom project in my system with your date and location(s), then send your Contract and Invoice.
Once your signed contract and retainer are in, your date is officially reserved. (Yay!)
I also add your wedding to my calendar and loop in my assistant (and second shooter if you opt for two photographers).
Step 3: Engagement Session
I send some tips for prepping for your Engagement Session so you’ll feel ready and confident in front of the camera.
We schedule your engagement session!
On session day, we meet at our location, and I guide you through relaxed, natural posing while watching the light, angles, and details.
Your only job? Have fun and enjoy the experience!
Step 4: Wedding Prep
As your wedding approaches, I send a reminder email along with my Wedding Questionnaire.
From your answers, I create a customized Photography Timeline and Shot List so nothing is missed.
A few days before, you’ll get a Final Confirmation email to confirm locations, start times, and final details.
Step 5: Wedding Day
I prep my gear in advance so everything is ready to go.
On the wedding day itself, I’m there to capture everything… from the quiet, in-between moments to the big, emotional highlights.
You just focus on enjoying every second of your big day!
Step 6: After the Wedding
I back up all your images immediately.
I select a Special Announcement Image within the first two days, edit it, and post it so you can share the excitement right away.
I cull the full gallery down to the ‘keeper’ images, then flag and edit my favorites first for your Sneak Peek!
Step 7: Final Delivery & Staying Connected
I complete the full edits (within 6 weeks), upload your Final Gallery to CloudSpot, and send you the link you’ve been waiting for!
