The Dohses + Lemkes / an extended family session with three beautiful couples

I can’t say enough good things about this family! They’re so fun to be around and I love how close-knit they are. I had the pleasure of meeting them a couple years ago at Kate and Vaughn’s wedding (the couple to the far left in the above picture) and look forward to capturing more of their life moments at Mackenzie and Ethan’s (couple to the far right) wedding celebration next month!

Since unfortunately covid had impacted their original plans, they decided to make it official in 2020 and celebrate with loved ones this year, like many couples have opted to do. So many times I’ve thought, I wish I could do my wedding all over again, and they actually get to! Though they had to make some tough decisions, they definitely have a silver lining.

That said, because they’re technically married already, it felt odd to do an engagement session, which I totally get. So instead, Mackenzie gifted a session to her lovely mom (the woman in the middle in the picture above… believe it or not, that’s not another sister!) so they could get updated family photos… and I LOVED that idea! It’s not very often I get to practice with a whole side of the family before the big day!

It was an absolutely gorgeous morning at the arboretum and we got soooo many beautiful pictures of the Dohse/Lemke family. You can expect to see tons of these on Instagram in the next month because I’m obsessed!
