Generation Session Packages
Rounding up everyone for an extended family gerenation shoot can feel like wrangling kittens, but with the right package, it’s pure magic. Choose a lightning-fast Snapshot, a well-rounded Classic, or go all-in with the Heirloom experience—each option tailored to your time and needs. For those craving unlimited poses, candid moments, and every heartfelt connection, the Heirloom session is the clear, stress-free winner.
1. Snapshot Session (30 minutes)
Recommended for: Small gatherings, last-minute holiday cards, or families on a tight schedule.
Full Extended Family Group Shot: Everyone together in one frame.
Grandparents with Grandkids: Multi‑generation warmth.
Kids Only: All the cousins in playful group shots.
Generational Core: Grandparents with their adult children.
Why it’s limited: Only core extended family highlights—no time for sibling sets, couple portraits, families with grandparents, or detailed candids.
Note: For families spanning four or more generations, the Snapshot session isn’t available. You’ll need at least the Classic session to capture all the key generational groupings, with the Heirloom Collection offering the most comprehensive coverage.
2. Classic Session (60 minutes)
Recommended for: Families wanting both group and key subgroup portraits without going all-in on every detail.
Includes everything in the Snapshot Session, plus:
Aunts/Uncles + Nieces/Nephews: Any willing pairings.
Individual Family Units + Grandparents: Each family alongside grandparents.
Individual Family Units: Each branch on its own.
Each Couple: Parents, aunt/uncle pairs, partners.
Sibling Groups: Each set of siblings together.
Why it’s sufficient: Fits all these essential groupings—no time for extras or detailed candids/creative detail shots.
3. Heirloom Session (90 minutes)
Recommended for: Large families, milestone anniversaries, or when you just want every moment and loved one captured. *Highly Recommended for Most Extended Families!*
Includes everything in the Classic Session, plus:
Extra Full Group Portrait(s): Everyone together in multiple poses and settings.
Grandparent Focus: Portraits of grandparents with each grandchild.
Mom + Kids: Each mother alongside her children in each family unit.
Dad + Kids: Each father alongside his children in each family unit.
All the girls of the Family: Every female family member together—from great-grandmas to granddaughters.
All the guys of the Family: Every male family member together—from great-grandpas to little bros.
Generational Trios (or more!): Grandma, mom, daughter or any linear combination of three+ generations.
Candid Storytelling Moments: Walking hand‑in‑hand, tickle fights, hugs, tossing a football, blowing bubbles, playing at the park, etc.
Creative Detail Shots: Hands with heirloom jewelry, intertwined fingers, using unique locations (trees, doorways, swings), silhouettes, top‑down, etc.
Note for larger families (4+ generations): While the Heirloom package is suitable for any family size, you can opt to add an extra 30 minutes for just $75 more, ensuring ample time to capture every special generational shot as well as the extra candids and creative detail portraits.
Why the Heirloom Session wins: Every combination captured, plus the freedom for creativity, genuine candids, and slow moments that become family heirlooms. It also allows time for wardrobe adjustments and hair fixes, shift between spots for variety, or time to grab a quick snack or rehydrate to keep energy high for happy faces!
